Bus to Komodo Island

On the previous article I’ve talk about kind of public transportation you may use across the city of Sumbawa, and now I will let you know about the information to get through Dompu (famous with Hu’u beach), Bima and then heading to the island of Komodo to see the Dragon (Komodo Dragon). Bus is major option to use for some reason, many people such backpackers or the one who has enough time to spend on the journey will choose this option, it takes 7-8 hours to go there and it isn’t comfort you looking for sitting on the bus with crowd passenger, animal and some goods used to find join you on the bus and that’s something you have to tolerance.

And then what information I can share is about the cost of the bus, they will charge you about 70 to 85 thousands rupiah (Rp.70.000-85.000) and sometimes it’s lower or it can be higher from the prediction cause it depend on the seat and capabilities of the bus, the best seat you can choose is of course next to the driver, cause you don’t have to share it with anyone or animal (pets: goat, chicken, duck etc).

The capacity of the bus is 30 people maximum, every stuffs you carry are put above the bus, so make sure you have cover your backpack well or ask the driver of the bus to do so you’ll feel save by 7-8 hours on the way to go there.
